Even though the '06 election is far behind us, I thank the voters of Cecil County for giving me the opportunity to continue the work my staff and I began during our first campaign in 2002. As Sheriff, I am fortunate and grateful to work with a dedicated group of professional men and women at the Cecil County Sheriff's Office. I have always placed a strong emphasis on being an approachable, working Sheriff. I will continue to make myself, and my personnel, available to the citizens of the county and will do everything possible to assure prompt responses to any concerns, questions or suggestions you may have. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of professional law enforcement services to our citizens. We recognize the importance of "working together" within our agency as well as with other agencies for the good of the community. I take the trust of the voters very seriously, and will continue to do everything in my power to deserve it - to prove that "Joining Forces with Janney" is the right thing for the future of Cecil County.

Golf TournamentThe committee to "Re-Elect Sheriff Janney" would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual golf outing. This year the tournament was held at the beautiful Club at Patriot's Glen Golf Course in Elkton, Maryland, on Friday, September 21, 2007. The event featured a $25,000 cash prize "hole in one" contest along with dozens of prizes and gifts.
